Over seventy-five years ago, Standard Processes’ founder, Dr. Royal Lee, began making whole food supplements based on his belief that good health comes from good nutrition, and the best sources of vitamins and minerals are found in whole foods. Standard Process has continued this tradition.

Unlike many other supplement companies, Standard Process is involved with all areas of manufacturing - farming, processing, mixing, milling, tableting, capsuling, and packaging. They begin by growing many of the raw materials used in their whole food supplements on 1,000 acres of organic farmland. Then they utilize several custom-engineered manufacturing processes, which preserve the nutrients of the raw materials. Strict quality control standards are adhered to throughout the process thus ensuring the quality of their products

Standard Process whole food supplements are very different than most store-bought synthetic vitamins. Store bought synthetic vitamins contain only a fraction of the vitamin complexes found in nature. Whole food supplements contain all the synergists and cofactors and vitamin complexes that normally occur in real food.

In the U.S. there is poor quality control over the manufacture of herbal supplements.
