My Personal Health Story

My wife and I are avid bicyclists. Several years ago, before we had children, we would ride approximately 150 miles a week and on the weekends we would do a ride of 60-80 miles in one day.  I was in pretty good physical shape but I was eating poorly.  I found that I could eat anything I wanted and still maintain or lose weight.  I was eating a lot of carbohydrates and refined sugar.  I felt very fatigued and was having trouble regulating my blood sugar.

I attended a seminar on muscle testing for nutrition and the use of whole food supplements for nutritional problems. I went primarily because the lecturer happened to be my old chiropractic school roommate.  He was teaching a nutritional analytic method called Meridian Response Technique.  During the seminar he used me to demonstrate the muscle testing procedure.  When he tested the reflex for the adrenal gland (the adrenal gland is partially responsible for your energy level) the previously strong muscle he was testing went weak indicating a positive test.  I tried and tried to resist his pressure but could not hold my arm when he contacted the adrenal reflex point.  Then he give me a whole food supplement called Drenamin and tested the same reflex point the to my astonishment the muscle became strong again. That was enough to convince me to change my diet and began taking Whole Food Supplements.  I did couldn’t believe how much better I felt.  It was like night and day.

After seeing first hand the results that could be achieved with Whole Food Supplements.  I began to attend every seminar I could on the subject and read everything available.  I began to recommend them to my patients and was getting good results.  Previously, I had practically given up on Nutrition in my practice due to poor results with Synthetic Vitamins.  Also, I began to use the muscle testing procedure Meridian Response Technique.  The technique was very helpful in showing my patients their need for certain supplements.  I found Meridian Response Technique to be very good but I still some difficult cases that stumped me.

In 2006 I attended my first seminar on Nutritional Response Technique.

I was very impressed with what I saw.  I decided to attend more seminars on the subject and have found that it provided a more complete assessment of the patients needs and it provided me with the answers to most of the difficult cases.  What impressed me most about the new procedure was the ability to find hidden food, chemical, parasitic and heavy metal sensitivities. I had finally found a way to help a lot more patients.
